You are in for a treat with this story. A Dark Breed is an absolutely gut wrenching thrill ride. Follow the story of the Jackson family as they are thrown into a nightmare scenario. Filled with desperate situations this story is very reminiscent of the movie “The Descent” with a sprinkling of the game “Until Dawn”. Patrick Mcnulty is an absolutely amazing author that I can not wait to read more of. Good thing he has two other books in this collection.
Walking the cold mile
If I can convince you to read one book this year let it be this one. This is the debut novel for author James Lurid. I got the privilege of ARC reading this book and Mr. Lurid did not disappoint. Follow Walter, A police officer with a troubled past, into the bowels of cold keep. Prison isn’t all its cracked up to be in cold keep especially if you happen to get the boot. Will you walk the path?
I am a lover of short stories, but never have I seen work like this before. These stories are the perfect length, perfect characters, perfect settings. It is perfection! I have never read short stories that have had me so captivated before.
Are you afraid to go to sleep?
Jay Sizemore gives you a reason to think twice before laying down for the night. This story was an absolute fever dream. I absolutely loved every bit of this. Now to clarify I am not a fan of dystopian or post apocalyptic so I was skeptical when I started. This book made me realize what I was missing out on. Please check trigger warnings this book is for mature audiences.
How hungry are the trees?
Lets clear the water first. I live in the backwoods. My entire backyard is forest. I…Do…Not…want to go outside in the dark now. So thank you Samantha Eaton for that.
This story has it all. A little family drama here. A little big scary monster that no one has heard of there. Even some small town secrets added into the mix.
The Insatiable Hunger of Trees is available on amazon in multiple formats. This is a must read for anyone living near the tree line.
The dead woods.
An absolutely wild ride from start to finish. Christain francis delivers on the horror and dread in this novel. Follow a group of kids as they try to figure out what is wrong with their small town. vibes similar to goosebumps. The ending will you have questioning everything.
